Privacy Policy

MarketLean ("we," "us," "our") provides a service that reads screenshots of prediction market trades and returns an AI-generated read on them - a lean, a confidence score, and the reasoning behind it. This policy explains what information we collect when you use marketlean.app, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

If you don't agree with this policy, please don't use the service.

Account information

When you create an account, we collect your email address, a hashed password (we never see or store your password in plain text - this is handled by our authentication provider, Supabase), and the display name you provide.

Payment information

Subscription payments are processed entirely by Stripe. We never receive or store your full card number, expiry, or CVC - Stripe handles that directly, and we only receive confirmation of your plan and subscription status.

Screenshots you upload

When you upload a screenshot for analysis, the image is sent to our AI provider, Anthropic, to identify the market and generate a read. We do not store the image itself on our servers after the request completes - only the resulting text (the market name, the lean, the confidence score, and the reasoning) is returned to your device.

Usage data

We track how many reads ("uploads") your account has used each month, so we can enforce your plan's allowance. We also keep basic technical logs (timestamps, error messages, approximate request cost) for debugging and fraud prevention.

This is worth being specific about, since it's not how every app works: your read history is stored locally in your own browser, not on our servers. If you clear your browser data, use a different device, or use a different browser, that history won't follow you - we don't have a copy of it. You can turn history saving off entirely, or export it as a file, from the Settings page inside the app.

Your account details, subscription status, and monthly usage count do live on our servers (hosted with Supabase), since those need to persist across devices and sessions for the service to work.

We don't sell your data, and we don't share it with advertisers. We do rely on a small number of service providers ("subprocessors") to actually run the product:

• Supabase - authentication and account database
• Stripe - subscription billing and payment processing
• Anthropic - AI analysis of the screenshots you upload, including live web searches to research a market
• Railway - application hosting

Each of these providers only receives the information necessary to perform their part of the service, and each has their own privacy practices governing how they handle it. We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of MarketLean, our users, or the public.

• Turn off or clear your locally-stored read history any time from Settings.
• Export your read history as a file from Settings.
• Update your display name from Settings.
• Manage or cancel your subscription, and update payment details, from Billing.
• Request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing [email protected]. We'll confirm once it's done, typically within a few business days.

We use a small number of essential cookies to keep you signed in (managed by Supabase Auth). We don't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

MarketLean is not directed at, and is not intended for use by, anyone under 18. We don't knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we'll remove it.

We rely on our providers' industry-standard security practices (encryption in transit, hashed passwords, PCI-compliant payment handling via Stripe) and follow reasonable practices of our own. No method of storing or transmitting data is 100% secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.

We may update this policy as the product changes. If we make material changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use MarketLean after a change means you accept the updated policy.
